- Hi,
-
- After downloading the 2.06 sources archive, and being amazed by the current
- status of Bad Mood, I've decided to work in this project (if my help can be
- useful to you, of course).
- My first attempt was to improve the map handling, since it's probably the
- most 'independent' source: It's just a routine which takes a list of vertex,
- and draw lines, something that I can work on without knowing all other sources.
- I've contacted Doug, who told me to contact Laurent Sallafranque, via this
- mailing list. So, here I am.
-
- What am I supposed to do with the new sources??? Send it here, or something
- else???
-
- Technically speaking, most of my work consisted in moving some code from the
- display_map to the calc_map routine.
- There is now a table allocated, which contains the screen-normalized
- coordinates, the line color and type (horizontal/vertical/left to right or
- right to left, ...). This way, the line routines don't have to test all
- these things, and the speed improvement is about a factor of 3. It could
- probably be still improved by 10-20% however.
-
- BTW, for Doug: Our internal network has been totally changed, so I don't
- know if you received my last mail. The last DSP-Debugger version is 1.08.
- It's status is freware (Atari France gave us the rights to put it freeware,
- just before closing). If anybody is interested, I can upload it to this server.
-
- Last thing: I usually use elm under Linux, for my mail, but since I've got a
- lot of Windo*s work currently, I've installed Eudora. Is this message ok?
- Aren't the line too long, or something else? Sorry if this is the case:-(
